Let’s Review

Before you begin, you’ll need to know:

Foundation Piecing 101

What to Do

1. Gather cotton fabric scraps. Fussy cut shapes and images.

2. Using a glue stick, glue the fabric scraps onto the front and back journal covers. Trim any scraps that stick over the journal edge.

3. Open the journal and place just 1 of the paper covers under the presser foot. Stitch all over that cover, being careful not to stitch through any of the pages. You want to make sure all the fabric scraps are sewn down. After stitching 1 cover of the journal, take the journal off the machine and reopen it so you can stitch the other cover.
